These moldavite earrings carry 7.35 ct of stone set in surgical steel.
The stones are cut and tumbled for up to fifty days; their final lustre comes only from hand polishing in our atelier.
The rough is chosen in our atelier from the Southern Bohemian sites of Radomilice, Zliv, Pištín, Protivín and Babice. Every piece is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Moldavites from southern Bohemia
More than 14.5 million years ago, a meteorite struck what is now southern Bohemia, instantly creating a unique green glass known as moldavite, which carries within it the energy of the universe and the history of our planet. Each piece of moldavite we use to make our jewelry is a drop of nature preserved in time.

What are moldavite earrings made of?
We set the stone in surgical steel, not in silver or gold. It is not a saving but a choice: steel does not oxidise, does not darken even after years, and is tolerated by ears that react to ordinary costume jewellery. It also has a cooler, quieter lustre than silver, so it does not draw attention. The rare part of the piece is the moldavite, the metal is only there to hold it.
Will both stones be identical?
They will match in shade and size, because we select them into a pair by hand and take our time. They will not be entirely identical though, no two moldavites are. The irregular shape and slightly different internal drawing are a mark of authenticity, not of imperfection. That is exactly how genuine moldavite is told apart from pressed glass, where the pieces are identical.
Is shipping free?
Within the Czech Republic it is free regardless of order value. We ship worldwide through Packeta or UPS and insure every parcel for the full value of your piece. There is no surcharge for the insurance, it is part of the shipping price.
How quickly will the piece arrive?
We dispatch a packed and prepared parcel within 24 hours of the order. Within the Czech Republic delivery usually takes two days, the exact time depends on the carrier. We ship abroad as well, where delivery times vary by destination. For pieces adjusted to order we confirm the date by email as soon as we accept the order.
How much does a pair of moldavite earrings weigh?
Our pairs are 7.35 and 7.5 carats, which is roughly 1.47 and 1.5 grams including the stones. One carat is 0.2 grams, so five carats make one gram. It is a weight you stop noticing in your ear after a while, and the stone is still large enough to be seen.
Do moldavite earrings work as a gift?
They are the piece most often given as a gift. There is no size to worry about as with a bracelet, they are timeless, and they arrive in gift packaging with a certificate of authenticity carrying the serial number of that pair. If you are unsure about the shade, write to us and we will advise based on who you are buying for.
Can I return or exchange a piece?
You have 14 days from delivery and you do not need to explain why. The piece simply needs to be unworn and in its original packaging including the certificate. We refund within a few days of the parcel reaching us. For custom made pieces we agree individually, though it has never happened that we failed to agree.
Does the piece come with a certificate of authenticity?
Every bracelet includes one. Each piece has its own certificate with a QR code that opens its page on the Moldara website, where you find all the details of that particular stone. Once the piece is sold, the price on that page is hidden, so the bracelet can be given as a gift.
