Origin                             South Bohemia

Production                   Handcrafted in the Czech Republic

A bracelet composed of striking, colour-diverse tumbled pieces of Moldavite, complemented by impressive beads of Libyan Desert Glass.

It exudes charisma and draws attention with its unique composition and natural beauty, leaving a lasting impression and evoking a deeper connection to the origin of both stones.

A libyan desert glass bracelet: 68.7 ct of tumbled moldavite with 28.8 ct of glass beads, 17 cm.

Both the tumbled pieces and the beads went through up to fifty days of cutting and tumbling, then hand polishing that unifies the two surfaces.

The moldavite is sourced from the Southern Bohemian deposits of Radomilice, Zliv, Pištín, Protivín and Babice; the Libyan Desert Glass from the Sahara. A certificate of authenticity is included.

Libyan Desert Glass is a tektite from the Sahara, formed by an impact some 29 million years ago. It is prized for its high purity and warm golden colour.

  • Bohemian moldavite sourced in Southern Bohemia, 68.7 ct

Moldavites from southern Bohemia

More than 14.5 million years ago, a meteorite struck what is now southern Bohemia, instantly creating a unique green glass known as moldavite, which carries within it the energy of the universe and the history of our planet. Each piece of moldavite we use to make our jewelry is a drop of nature preserved in time.

JEWELLERY THAT ENHANCES YOUR CHARM

  • Genuine tektites formed directly by meteorite impact
  • Natural color palette: from light green to deep olive
  • Each moldavite contains unique microinclusions – bubbles and fine “scratches” inside, formed by the extreme conditions of the impact and proof of authenticity
  • Precise polishing of each tumbled stone and bead creates a brilliant surface – the difference is obvious at first glance
  • Each piece is original – you will receive a certificate of authenticity with each piece

HANDCRAFTED

Each piece of jewelry is handmade with the utmost care – from the selection of stones to the final packaging.

When creating jewelry, we carefully combine moldavites so that they match in color, shape, and expression. We look for a natural harmony between them that is apparent at first glance – and can be felt every time you wear it.
Each stone is precisely polished to bring out its character,
color, and delicate natural luster.
We believe that it is these small details that make the difference.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is Libyan desert glass and where does it come from?

It is a tektite, the same type of stone as moldavite, meaning natural glass formed when the Earth's surface melted under an impact from space. Libyan desert glass formed roughly 29 million years ago above what is now the Sahara, and it can be found in only one area of the world, in the sand sea on the Egyptian and Libyan border. It is not mined, it is collected from the desert surface, piece by piece.

How do I recognise genuine Libyan desert glass?

It is translucent, in shades from almost colourless to deep honey, and against light it shows fine fibrous structures and elongated bubbles. The surface tends to be matte, etched by sand, so before polishing it looks clouded. Imitations are usually too clear, have perfectly round bubbles and lack any internal drawing. With us every piece comes with a certificate stating the carat weight of both stones.

How quickly will the piece arrive?

We dispatch a packed and prepared parcel within 24 hours of the order. Within the Czech Republic delivery usually takes two days, the exact time depends on the carrier. We ship abroad as well, where delivery times vary by destination. For pieces adjusted to order we confirm the date by email as soon as we accept the order.

Can I return or exchange a piece?

You have 14 days from delivery and you do not need to explain why. The piece simply needs to be unworn and in its original packaging including the certificate. We refund within a few days of the parcel reaching us. For custom made pieces we agree individually, though it has never happened that we failed to agree.

Why do combined bracelets list two carat weights?

Because they are two different stones with a different price and a different character. The first figure is always moldavite, the second Libyan desert glass. The ratio between them decides the resulting colour more than the total weight does: the more glass, the lighter and more golden the bracelet, the more moldavite, the greener it stays. Adding both figures gives you the total carat weight, and dividing by five gives the weight in grams.

Is Libyan desert glass rarer than moldavite?

Both are rare and both have a single source in the world. Libyan desert glass is roughly twice as old and comes from one desert area where it is collected off the surface. Moldavite has its strewn field in Southern Bohemia and is picked out of sandy layers. Neither will ever form again. For both, price follows mainly the clarity and size of the individual stone, not which of them is older.

Where do you ship to?

We ship worldwide through trusted carriers such as UPS or Packeta, and always insured. The parcel leaves packed and prepared within 24 hours. If you would prefer a different carrier or want to ask about anything, contact us through the form, on WhatsApp or by phone. We are glad to reassure you that your parcel will arrive safely.

What if the bracelet does not fit?

We adjust it free of charge. Write to us, send the bracelet back and we shorten or lengthen it to your wrist. The same goes for replacing the elastic cord. We do that for life and without a fee, because elastic gives way on every bracelet eventually and that is no reason for it to end up in a drawer.

Choosing your size

A bracelet slips over the hand, so it is not bought to fit the wrist exactly but a little larger. Measure your wrist and add 1 to 1.5 cm.

cm

Enter your measurement and we will suggest a size.

How to measure your wrist

Wrap a tailor tape around your wrist, or a strip of paper you then hold against a ruler.

Take the measurement where you wear the bracelet, below the bone rather than over it.

Add 1 to 1.5 cm. Between two sizes, choose the larger one.

The models in our photographs have rather small wrists, around 15 to 16 cm.

We adjust anything on request. A different length, a different arrangement of stones, a different carat weight: length, weight and the composition of the moldavites can all be made to measure. And if a natural, unpolished moldavite catches your eye, we will set it for you as a pendant. Just get in touch and we will work it out.
